132 as soon as I exited the chicane onto the banking. It was miserable. Just held it there the whole time... Re flash on Friday haha.
Fontana with the speed limiter, must have rode the white line in fear of getting rear ended! LOL

Did the same at PBIR on my first track day. The 09 rocket off the corner (to some extent) and hit a wall 2/3 down the straightway. I was afraid of getting rear ended by the liter bikes. Clocked 140 not tuned on stock gearing when I went back (5th to the rev limiter) So I went -1 front... Can't wait this weekend!

I have noticed that a lot of people on here have complained about the comfort and position of the FZ09's seat. I personally had no problem with the comfort but I did want to change the seating position for my needs. I was able to work together with Saddlemen on designing a seat that not only met my needs as performance and comfort but had great body lines and really added to the overall look of the motorcycle. If others like the Dual Seat/Single rider style of seat they may even make more of these but here is the prototype and development of what we have been working on together.

We started off with the base of what a norman FZ09 Seat is normally based off of.

From there they did the foam injection mold to normal spec and started with the added materials from there.

With input to the liking of where I like the rider cockpit to be we added more high density foam to the face of the seat. With the added foam to the face of the seat we also started to cut a sleeker body line into the seat.

After testing the fitment we where almost on point and started to focus on the body lines. Nate from Saddlemen has a great eye.

With the finer tuning of the shape now in place we focused on the materials and grip levels wanted in certain areas of the seat.

With limited real estate to place competition numbers on the small area on the tail improvisation came. The M1 inspired solo seat was starting to take on some numbers.

Number placement is starting to look good and so is the seat. From this point on I had to leave but Saddlemen blueprinted and matched the seat to perfect symmetry all around for duplication purpose. We went over final materials and design and I should have the final product this week!

I will post pictures on the bike when it is all finished this week and see what the census is. It may be a great option for those looking to have a solo tailed 09. If enough people have interest it may be something that Saddlemen may produce.

Aaron, just wondering - Does RedBull support you're decision to switch to Yamaha? Or will you still be riding the KTM also?

They are an amazing partner. They support whatever I think will make me the best athlete. This bike change is in the right direction.
