On an xsr....biggest problem I've got is that there is nothing to tie to in the back without a rack....and tying to the fender as shown doesn't put the bag very far back. IMHO I think the 40l might be a better fit for the xsr.
If someone with an fz is nearby and wants to meet up I'm more than willing to throw the bags on their bike and snap a few pictures.

That rear bag is sweet. I cant deal with big tank bags though. I had a 10L on mine and had to drop it to and 8L.. I dont know how some of you guys ride with those huge 20 or 30L.

 

Not the bag you are looking at. But here's a 60L moose racing drybag. With my backpack and fishing pole strapped on top. Plenty of room for a weekend of camping. The bag plus rok straps are under $100
