so maybe we take the doubts and questions away😁
Hey Fred,

Thanks for posting!

We will upload the results of Fred's bike here as soon as he has been on our dyno.

PS. We are also currently working on a variable intake set for the XSR900 GP (which has the same CP3 engine), more info about that coming soon!

I watched the 660 live video and it seems rather jumpy in actuation, just jumps full open or closed. I was expecting a smoother progressive movement but maybe it's just bevause you are snapping the throttle.

A man that doesn't mind spending some hours in the shop fine tuning linkages could have the stacks operate via throttle cable to move the stacks in relation to throttle position and forego and electronics.

The question is, is it better to operate in relation to throttle position ( perceived load) or actual rpm? I have no idea. Could be a fun project, though.

Hey Shinyribs,

We’ve tested this theory, but this doesnt have much affect. There is a crossover point were the bike needs shorter air pulses to have the optimal air flow. A slow rise of the upper stacks in relation to your throttle blades or throttle position doesn't give the optimal performance.
A quick open is where the most performance gains come from.

Ok, I’ve been in Holland this weekend and get the stacks on my bike that took a few hours to modified the airbox , put the stacks on it and install the rest of the hardware ( but no rocket science)
We tested the bike how it was ( without the stacks) and after (with them), and oh my god what a difference, not only on the dyno ( watch the result) but also on the road with the test drive.
The engine revs right from the start( bottom) until l the very end.
Accelerate in the corner is amazing, climbing in the chain in third gear( 100kilo plus gear) difficult to hold the front wheel on the tarmac.
Feels like a total new bike for me, in the lower range the engine feels nice and smooth, no dip or so, reacting on the gas is fantastic.
Just short,,,,,very nice mod.
Cp3 engine , akrapovic titanium exhaust with carbon tip k&n filter and the stacks.
It will require a flash update on the dyno to get the most out of it.
