So I had my eyes on a 2015 FZ-09 for a week now at the dealers and went on Friday to go check it out before pulling the trigger! Then did some more research on it and planned out all the mods I was going to get for it etc etc. Since the dealers are closed Sunday and Monday, I went in today with my check to go buy it and SOMEONE STOLE IT! Apparently they bought it Saturday and now I don't know what to do :( I really was looking forward to today and couldn't even sleep because of how excited I was!

Ugh... maybe i'll wait for the 2016 one or the XSR900 now. This day has been ruined.

You'll find another without a problem. When I went to my local dealer, I thought I had found my deal. Then just for the heck of it I decided to check some other dealers in state and that's when I found several deals much better than what my home town dealer had. I ended up saving almost $900. I rented a U-Haul for $23.44 drove 220 miles down and 220 back and had my new 2016 FZ09. It just takes determination and don't let any dealer dissuade you from comparing prices.

Ugly headlight, ugly taillight, tank looks good, just not with that frame and sub frame, the lines don't match up at all, look at that terrible seat/tank gap. It looks like a badly done parts bin bike thrown together by some drunk, broke, college kid, trying to put together one bike out of three or four so he has transportation. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for basing several bikes off that engine platform, because it's a flat out winner, but come on Yamaha can you seriously not do better than this? You couldn't spend a couple days with a design department to at least match up a few lines and make it look like an actual project instead of, "yeah just bolt that together, that's good enough, f@ck it"?
This is my post from a different forum board on the topic of the XSR. Opinion will vary, nothing personal

I don't see anything wrong with any of the 09 bikes, including the FZ-09, FJ-09 and XSR900.

Lets be honest, do you buy a bike to see how pretty it looks sitting in your garage? or to ride it?

For example: do you even see this much of your bike while riding?

Sure I like the look of my 09, but it's not the biggest reason I ride it, lol.

But I also ride one of these things and don't care how it looks to others, because it's a blast to ride for what I use it for.

And yes, if you snooze you loose, good deals on 09's don't stick around forever.
