Damn, i like the look of those better than the protons i just ordered. What was the cost?

I ran into some issues with fitting. Removed the stock ones but these don't slide in the slots; may need to sand out the inside of the housing a bit.

 

I just worry, when looking at mini stalk signals and these, that the flush mounts are too hard to see.

 

I will need to demel out the housing to get them flush but for $45 Im happy. I think I may swap out the headlight edge bulbs for amber and wire them into the signals as well for better from flasher visibility.

I have been watching a kit on ebay that does that. If the running lights blinked you'd have good front visibility.

That looks great. How long did the install take you?

 

I did it at work in 20 mins. Just 4 screws to remove the housing on each side and then remove the seat to install the resistors. If you install them in the front lights they dont act as running. The fit isn't perfect but nothing a dremel cant fix.

They also include little tear drop shaped rubber pieces that go around the edge.

Flush mounts on this bike look good. But functionality is a huge concern because they are almost invisible to oncoming traffic. The only flush mount I would install on the FZ would be a Watsen Design since they are as bright as the Sun!

Here is a set from Graves. Supposed to be bright. They're also plug n play, but expensive.

Well i decided to order a set today. I'll post up some pictures when they come in.

 

The graves flush mounts arrived today and i threw them in. Very easy and plug n play which I like. Here are a couple pictures. They're pretty bright. Me likes.

Do the running lights work as well? I have a set on the way for my front signals.

Hmm. Their website says next time they're taking orders is Sept 13th through 22nd. I wonder which it will be.

 

Scooter65, do you have any night shots of those Watsens? (from the front) and which set did you order? They look rad but Watsen Design isn't taking orders right now and I think the graves look pretty good too. Want to compare brightness. Thanks if you have the chance.

 

Here is a quick cell phone video; really does not do them justice (literally you can't look directly at them without squinting within 5 or so feet). They are visible from the front and side of the bike. I will get some better shots this weekend.

Hot damn, those Watsen lights are bright. I'm pretty sure there's a local rider on a GT1000 with the same ones, I remember not being able to look directly at his signals.

Might have to order those.

No problem at all!

And yes, install required no modifications whatsoever. Roger (owner of Watsen designs) will ask for application details after ordering so that the kit will be a plug-and-play for your bike.
