Troop is correct..Just remove it. Don't think an 18T will fir on the front. As far as the speedo healer is concerned I believe the name of the company is speedo healer and you buy the one that fits your bike. Easy install. Goes between the wiring harness on the top of the gear box. Find an easy access point on the frame to tie wrap the cables so you can get at the small mother board that controls the impulse to the speedo. You may need to play around with the adjustment a bit but you will be able to get it spot on with a little work.

Where did you buy the 18T sprocket. Just curious. Couldn't find one in my search.
I had a good experience with Drive systems. Bought 4 sprockets from them and nothing bad to say.

It just sprocket from Afam for 530 chain
not super lite but good quality i am sure)

according to the calculator Gearing Commander: Motorcycle Speed, RPM, Chain & Sprockets Calculator
18х41 is able to make 299 km/h ))
but i have some doubts in FZ09 have enough of power for that )

Nonetheless i'd like to make some experiments with the 18t sprocket
it's not so difficult to make 525 sprocket from it.

I wouldn't use anything less than a 43T on the rear. I have been running a 17/43 for 12k miles and the rubber swingarm guard has a slight 1-2 inch groove about 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep at the rear end. No big deal and not getting any worse but i suspect a smaller rear would increase the problem....Possibly an 18 and 42 rear may work due to the increase size of the front 18 over the 17.

Yes you are right maybe. I just want to make an experiment and after that I will make bigger rear sprocket...
... and ...no much difference between 41 and 42 diameters )) ...lets look first )
