Had my handlebar clamps replaced last weekend as per the recall. I see the new clamps are not the same footprint as the old so there's a piece of unpainted triple clamp showing. Anyone noticed this?

About to have mine done and will not accept that. Mine is an MT09 though....maybe the clamps are the wrong ones?

Hi guys,

What you are seeing is totally normal. The stock bar mounts are not round at the base. After the recall it will look exactly the same.

That's a relief! I have to confess I never looked that closely at the clamps pre-recall. Thanks for the clarification!
