If this doesn't work, you can do what I did, just paint your wheels. I never warmed up to the blurple, so I painted them, first graphite, then satin black, and gloss black. You can always get them powder coated. I was quoted $150 in Mt Airy.

Powder coating is probably the way to go. It's relatively inexpensive vs. paint and more durable.
You gotta factor in the cost of new wheel bearings, valve stems and balancing, though.
