There's barely any and it might just be old oil from the PO and it's not leaking now (I don't think) but where is/did it come from? Valve cover breather hose? PCV breather hose? Where does it go? And why did oil seep out to begin with? Pics are through the right side of the bike.

Last 2 pics of for chits n gigs cuz she's sexy af... :geek:

So no one knows exactly what it is or where it leads to?

I'm assuming it's the crank case vent that leads into the air box? Regardless I just want to know why I see a little seepage there (oil looks old - not seeping now I don't think). When I get my ECU flashed I will also check the air box for oil/a hose for this if indeed that is what it is.

So I think it's safe to assume that my MT09 in a NON-Cali / No Charcoal canister bike noted by the 3 rubber hoses at the counter sprocket (which 1 or 2 of em are lines from the bottom of the tank straight to the ozone - rather than to a charcoal canister)

My question is, seeing as it's a non-California bike, do I still have or need all that SMOG crap? I see the metal smog fittings (I believe that's what they are?) on the top of the valve cover. Why do people do smog delete stuff/block-off plates for this? What is the gain?

And I've verified that the hose in question is indeed the crank case breather that attaches to the bottom of the air box. Not sure why it was leaking a tad...
