Removed the radiator to replace it with a new one that isn't bent.

Also started planning to fab up some radiator protection loops.

Noticed my plastic OEM headlight bucket had a crack in it.
So I replaced the headlight/bucket with a 7" LED headlight with integrated turn signals. Easy mod, and IMO it looks great.
More Neo than Retro now

That looks pretty sweet! Brand? Source? Have you been able to try it out yet, or are you snowed in?

Unfortunately snowed in for a couple more months at least! Good light cutoff. Easily adjustable. Aluminum bucket (nicer than the OEM plastic). Tight fit to get all wiring in. But it does work

lol.

Installed TST flush mounts that coincide with the integrated headlight. Figure more lights the better/safer.

And cut out the hump in the seat pan as well. Hopefully it helps as much as previous ppl have said.

Brandon,
that is one sweet looking bike. Great post.

refresh my memory on the seat cutout......is that to help with comfort on the stock seat? Is that bump right in a key area?

They put that bump in the seat pan to protect a couple of the relays under the seat, but the bump is right under your tailbone! People have said that even with the bump cut out, the electrical components aren’t compromised (though I haven’t done the mod yet myself). 😬

Nothing exciting really, but it's been sitting in the garage for 4 months now, just glad I got some time to go over the bike

Did some deep cleaning (front sprocket was naaaasty), drilled a couple of holes in the license plate holder for a reflector.

Removed the Akrapovic to see if I can clean up some of that caked gunk on the headers (nearing 25k Km) with some diluted ammonia.

Fitted a steering damper last weekend and fitted an LED headlight bulb. Haven't had a chance to ride it yet with the damper, but all fits well. Headlight globe seems brighter than standard on low beam, haven't had a chance to test out high beam yet.

Took the XSR900 to meet Scotty and Paulo (formerly RSVMAN) today at Bourton on the Water in the Cotswolds.

Found some great roads on the way along with some god awful ones... The rear tyre on the XSR needs putting in the bin... But i had an excellent ride and chat with the boys.... Missed seeing them for the best part of a year. It shouldn't be a year now though as we're all at Silverstone in 5 weeks.

Paulo was on the new angry beast of a bike.... MV Agusta Brutale 1000. It's a properly interesting bike with some stunning bits of finish on it, but also some really disappointing bits where for £5 more they could have made a little bit of plastic to really tidy things up...

Curry and chips in the local fish and chip shop for lunch, awesome, all it was missing was a beer.

Coming home i should have turned on the sat nav.. i took shall we say a somewhat interesting route back LOL.
