I spun a bearing on my Kawassaki GPz750 doing long wheelies. I was a lucky man that I was able to save it. This was before oil jets and proper flow dynamics.

Ouch! I had a ZR-7S, which is basically the same engine. Thing was fairly bulletproof. Had a friend with the GPz750 Turbo. That bike was just plain evil. Fun to ride, but if people think we have sensitive throttles on modern bikes, whack open the throttle on a turbo bike with an 80's era turbo on it. Nothing...nothing...nothing...nothing....BAM.....POWER! You actually have to get in the throttle really early on them before entering the corner so the turbo spools up before you're leaned over.

They are damn fun to ride though.

From what I've read, wheelie oiling problems were a characteristic of the early GSXRs. Maybe stunt crews could give us updated information.
