Guys, its like buying a new car or truck, it depreciates when you drive it off the lot. I'm a firm believer in finding a good used sub 2k mile bike, that the owner thought they were interested in riding. Turns out they aren't a bike rider after all. This way, you get a year old bike for ALOT less, plus you probably get a few free mods along the way. Just my opinion. Some people always want new, if that's for you, thumbs up.
My experience like many others on here, I bought a slightly used 2015 09 with 1,650 miles (perfect condition) for $5,800 total, out the door in October 2016. I did have to license it so add taxes and tag cost, but otherwise i'm happy.
