I have been riding my Vmax for 30 years. Finally found a bike fun enough to fill it's shoes.
The 2023 MT09...WOW!

Not for as long as you ... but I too was riding those crazy fast Vmax's ! Rode a new 2007 Gen 1 for 4 yrs) ... then sold it for a "like new" 2010 Gen 2. Rode that beast for 5 yrs before my hip pain got so bad, I couldn't ride it anymore and had to sell it. Got both hips replaced in 2020 and got the itch for another bike. Got my 2017 XSR 900 and you're so right ! It's a bike fun enough to fill the Vmax shoes !! Enjoy.

In 1985, I was sitting at a light on my GPz750 Kawasaki, when this huge dude pulls up on a brand new V-Max. He is grinning ear to ear. I was completely in the dark about the V-Max. We were into Superbikes. He asked me if I wanted to race, and I laughed and said, you must be crazy. Well, he blew my doors off. That guy and I have been close friends since that day. It was a real lesson in humility.

You would think after all those years i would have a few more pics. There she is in Corpus Christi, TX. I still have her. I got on it today and for some reason I forgot to pull in the clutch! Total different beast. I love both bikes. I have a vulcan 1500 when the wife wants to ride. Boring...the Vulcan not the wife.
