Has probably been posted elsewhere, but I hadn't seen it so figure I can try to give some people a heads up. I bought the DMP Yamaha turn signal male to barrel connectors for my barracuda turn signals (link). These signals only have two wires so no DRL. Went ahead and did red to red and black to black, leaving the black with white stripe unconnected. Apparently this is the DRL connection, my bad for rushing. Reconnected black to black with stripe. Still won't work. Ended up getting the DMM and apparently red is negative. So swapped them around; red to black with stripe and black to red.

In summary, using these DMP adapters red = negative, black = DRL +12V, and black/stripe = signal +12V. So just a heads up since my turn signals (and I assume most others) have red being +12V and black being negative.

Obligatory photo...

It's always a best practice to use a voltmeter to check out which wire is which when changing out something like turn signals, etc.
