Tuning with Full System

Hi there,

Just picked up a 21 Mt09. How crucial is it to have an ecu flash after a full system is installed (cat delete too). On akrapovic website, it says it doesn't need any ecu or tuning for their catless system. Of course I know it will perform better, but trying to space out the expenses.

Will it damage the engine?

In the same boat. Thinking ill buy/install the akro and later buy the power commander although thats more for if youre going to continue to mod the engine and I dont.

I used a PC3USB box on my 06 GSXR1000 for years, and one day it would crank but not start. Checked it out, no injector pulse. Removed the PC3, and it fired right up.
Back in the day, a power commander was the only thing available to make any adjustments.
Now, they are able to reflash the ECM internally, as well as allowing the use of a quick shifter.
