Keep the forum posted on the fix and how much down time is expected. Meanwhile everyone who doesn't live in Australia or have a FZ/MT-09 please feel free to post why this does not affect you.

I think it is the same up and coming recall that is mentioned here.

http://www.fz09.org/forum/6-fz-09-general-discussion/6845-fz09-fj09-march-recall-tsb.html

Edit: - in North America, you can go here and see all the recalls issued on any vehicle. Even if you live in Canada, the recalls apply to you vehicle as well. You can also do a VIN number search.

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchSafetyIssues

Search by VIN number: https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/

It looks like someone has lodged a complaint about the CCT noise on a FJ-09.

Maybe we need to put in a complaint on the noisy CCT for a FZ-09, hint, hint, hint....... Not sure if a Canuck can lodge a complaint on the site???

My bike is also affected. I'm thinking whether to take my bike to the dealership or not. I don't want those clowns working on it. Should I be worried about this recall? Do any of you know what they actually do. Do they open up the clutch cover and replace shift shaft?

Ya I'm defeneately not taking my bike to them for this. Is there any other method of getting this fixed. Will they release the parts to me for me to get it fixed?
