Maybe someone can hustle to that dealer, take some measurements and some pictures to determine if the center stand will fit a FZ-09!
Now we need to see east coast..

No Need to go to the dealer. According to the oem partfinder, the FZ and FJ use the exact same frame, sidesand, and bracket. This means you should just have to buy the brackets for the center stand, and the stand itself and it should bolt right up.

Here is what you need.

As John Denver was fond of saying, "Farrrrrrr out!"

Unfortunately, when I just checked, they don't list any prices yet. =(

I see where the stand brackets seem to be sandwiched between the foot peg mounts and frame.
So, the longer FJ bolts would be needed. Not an expensive detail. But, a detail just the same.

I believe the Yamaha demo truck will be up in Santa Rosa on Dec. 20th. Might have to venture up there and check it out.

If your fz has the stock exhaust the center stand won't fit. They redesigned the cat-can on the fj... i think it's the brackets that interfere.?

According to the OEM Partsfinder, the exhaust is the same from the FZ to the FJ. It is part number 2PP-14710-00-00

No, 30 is the 49 state frame for the fz and 40 is the California frame I believe. See below. I got these from the Yamaha site.

This you are correct on this one, my bad. Although from looking at the diagrams, the can seems identical, the change appears to be the shield at the end around the tip. The reason the exhaust part number is different may be because it is the whole system, not just the muffler.

And it also states...".Revised, low mounted, 3 into 1 exhaust system features stainless steel header pipes with special "Nano-film" coating to help prevent rusting and discolouration. Revision is based on the fitment of the new centre stand. " And also for those that still want to try this..the brake pedal is also different

Or you can always go here....Centerstand - Yamaha FZ09
+1 Moto Machines has been selling them for quite a while. I am curious if it's an add-on or a replacement for the side stand. I know on some bikes, when you add the center stand, you have to put down the side stand first
