....the best part of fabricating the updated version of the rear number plate holder is, that I have ridden through three speeding cameras here in Melbourne, triggering the flash, there soon after triggering a large "Ahhhh F%&k..".
its been at night when I tend to speed a little, heres the clincher.....!

I have never received the fines.

Its not because of the black tape.

My guess is, its the angle of the plate reflecting the flash also the small Red LED's illuminating the plate may play a part.
Anyhow its seems to work.

If you know Speeding cameras in Victoria.... Thats about $800 better in my pocket then theirs.

And....the camera fires if your about 4 kilometres over the limit.... C*$NTS.

This bike just wants to Gallop...

Giddy up.

G'day Bob. I agree with your theory and suspect this is an undocumented XSR900 feature. I've been fined multiple times in the car when accidently travelling at 105km/h along Melbourne freeways, yet I've passed the exact same cameras hundreds of times on my XSR900 with the opposite outcome. No fines. I almost feel guilty, but will continue testing for science and maybe have some fun along the way.
