What’s everyone using for a steering damper on the FZ09’s these days? I’m thinking of getting one for my bike but I’m not sure what one to get. Can I get some pics and links for what you guys are riding with? Thanks

I've got one of these eBay specials on my '16. I like it. I don't think my bike is in need of a damper, but I horse around on some rough old backroads and this damper takes out some of the wobbliness I felt before. For $70 they're not very effective like a real damper would be. I run it on full resistance and it's just enough to be worth it's price tag. A true Scotts or GPR would be more effective, but the for the extra price they cost I didn't feel it was justified on this chassis. I've had other bikes that NEEDED damper and I was happy to buy Scotts for those.

The eBay dampers are more or less motorcycle jewelry, but I'm happy with mine for it's price. It does look spiffy and racy sitting across the front of the tank.

I had to do that on my K6 gixxer. I just drained the oe fluid and refilled and bled the air out using regular ATF. Immediately stopped the waggle it would sometimes do on max effort runs.

Which brands are good enough and what to avoid?
I had a 2017 mt which was written off and replaced with a 2019mt. Both had FXCNC branded levers and dampers. Was very pleased with fit and finish on the products...zero issues with the dampers which worked as expected and looked great. Not sure what they have for the 3rd gen if thats what you have. The dampers did not come with instructions, but they can be found on youtube.
