Seat customizer ??

I've got a 2022 xsr900. The seat is pretty grim. Really hard, too low for my long legs, and I'm not crazy about how it looks. I was hoping the looks would grow on me but it just isn't. Does anyone have any experience with seat customizers? I emailed diamondmotorcycle.com, they said they could do it for $700. Holy shit! I bought a sargent for my Ducati for less than that. Anybody got any suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks, Chester. They unfortunately don't have a seat for my bike. They do have a customization service. I emailed them, will see what they can do.

Yeah, I might get brave and try it myself. I've already got a 1 inch thick piece of gel foam from another project. Got a pneumatic stapler. There is a good bit of cover material under the seat that could be pulled up before staple holes would show. But if I screwed it up it sure would be ugly😫. And I'm definitely no upholsterer. Might save enough for a ecu reflash or maybe most of the cost of a better shock. Maybe after another rum and coke I'll get brave 😉

Yep, beautiful bike. Your upholsterer did a great job on the cover. I would up ordering the exact seat corbin has in the pics on their website. I'll post a comfort review and some pics after it gets here. 3 to 5 weeks is what corbin is saying.

My corbin seat has arrived. Got here pretty quick, only took about 2 weeks. Comfort.....I'd say it's a wash. Not any better, but not any worse either. So, bummer on that. Corbin claims that the seat will "break in" and get more comfortable after a few thousand miles. Sounds like BS to me but I'll give it a while before I pass final judgement. As far as looks....I think it looks a while helluva lot better. Of course that's just my opinion. So overall...was it worth $600? Probably not. If I had it to do over again I'd probably put that money on a new shock or ecu reflash. .

Thanks, secondxsr. The headlight cowl doesn't make much of a difference-at least to me-in wind buffeting. Maybe if you're really short it might? I'm 5'10" (178 cm). I bought the made in China ebay version btw, and I'm pretty happy with it.

There's several on ebay but they all appear to be about the same, different colors, clear, blue tinted, etc. I got black.
