I've got a 2022 xsr900. The seat is pretty grim. Really hard, too low for my long legs, and I'm not crazy about how it looks. I was hoping the looks would grow on me but it just isn't. Does anyone have any experience with seat customizers? I emailed diamondmotorcycle.com, they said they could do it for $700. Holy shit! I bought a sargent for my Ducati for less than that. Anybody got any suggestions? Thanks!

I hear ya, '22s aren't available yet but they do custom fabs and gold gel can be fitted to nearly all bikes with 1 cm thick foam. A good motorcyclist could install it wearing tinted goggles. 😎 Dig in to their site, lots of good info.

Yeah, I might get brave and try it myself. I've already got a 1 inch thick piece of gel foam from another project. Got a pneumatic stapler. There is a good bit of cover material under the seat that could be pulled up before staple holes would show. But if I screwed it up it sure would be ugly😫. And I'm definitely no upholsterer. Might save enough for a ecu reflash or maybe most of the cost of a better shock. Maybe after another rum and coke I'll get brave 😉

Watch this vid a few times with a rum and coke. You'll be an expert. Heck, you already own a staple gun.

I went to my local car upholsterer and had him redo my seat . I went the other direction on mine and had some seat foam removed . He also made the seat cover to my specs .

Yep, beautiful bike. Your upholsterer did a great job on the cover. I would up ordering the exact seat corbin has in the pics on their website. I'll post a comfort review and some pics after it gets here. 3 to 5 weeks is what corbin is saying.
