Yamaha has been taking their 60th Anniversary pretty damned seriously releasing loads and loads of bike and UTV porn in the yellow and black livery this year. Not everyone likes it, but I freaking LOVE it. But now they have partnered with one of the busiest men in custom moto building to turn the FZ-09 into a bad ass street tracker.

Roland has the tendency to turn regular motorcycles into snot streaking rockets as he has done with several Indian motorcycles in the last two years. His history as a racer is showcased in this little video, but ironically mostly his crashes and shortcomings. I feel like this is to set the mood of him rectifying past missteps with this bike. It also pays homage to the past when one of the great racers, Kenny Roberts, makes a cameo followed by a "To Be Continued..."
Hopefully Yamaha is testing the US market for the XJR1300 and will make use of the Sands bike like they did with Shinya Kimura's Faster & Sons bike and the XSR700.
