So the two main choices from most posts that I've read are the:

ZX6RR 05-06 closest to stock w/ max. adjustability and hard to come by.
ZX10R 08-10 has longer mount length & higher ride height.

Does the 10R have the same or similar adjustability or is it limited like a lot of OEM style shocks?

Has anyone tried a ZX6R 07-08 or ZX9R 98-99 ? I found a chart that had similar specs as the 6RR but I don't know about the adjustability.

Make Model Year shock length shock stroke

Kawasaki ZX6RR 2005-2006 330 +12/-0 mm 63.5mm
Kawasaki ZX6R 2005-on 335,5 +12/-0 mm 64,5 mm
Kawasaki ZX9R 1998-1999 330 +12/-0 mm 69 mm

Any experience or feedback with these or other options would be greatly appreciated. I'm a 225 lbs. ex-racer trying to make some decisions on which direction to go.
Thanks in advance!

One of the other options of course is the Penske line of shocks.......three different choices there.

Really want the triple adjust shock and 25mm cartridge front kit from Penske, but just bought the bike and on a budget unfortunately. :(

I had a ZX6RR on my bike. Had it re-valved and re-sprung at Traxxion Dynamics. The stock valving has way too much compression damping.

Recently sold it and got a Penske 8983 from Traxxion. In addition to compression and rebound clickers, the Penske has ride height adjust which I wanted.

As far as performance between the two, there really is not much difference.

I also have the AK-10 fork cartridges from Traxxion. This combo really transforms the bikes handling.
