Hey everyone.

Just joined the Yamaha family or as I like to call it: The Yamily.

I picked up my Rapid Red from Specialty Recreation in Coeur d'Alene, ID.
She's a little dirty from riding in the rain/snow mix we're getting right now but I still love her.
I'm an active member of the pnwriders and motorcycle subreddits and very active in my local Spokane WA community.
So far, the FZ09 has fulfilled a lot of my dreams! Can't wait til the summer now!

Welcome and congrats on picking the best color! Looks like you will be battle-testing the bike for us in the snow and frigid temps. What will be your first mods?

Welcome to the forum RTP....and congrats on the new Rapid Red.......my color choice also. Way to brave the weather conditions and ride it home in an icy/snow mix......you are tougher than a wood-hauler!

Thanks guys.

I'm all about riding 95% of the year! It's fairly dry on my side of the state so I have that luxury. :)

First mods will be simple:

Bar end mirrors (have some at home waiting)
Fender eliminator
Windscreen install?

I don't see myself doing too much to the bike as it's pretty awesome as it is!

Took her for the first real ride (non of that commuting crap!)

20 mile jaunt through a twisty but gravel covered mountain road. Wasn't the fastest route or the cleanest or safest but it was something other than the highway!
