I ordered the Carmichaels for a 2017 fz-09 and they sent the Windhams instead.

Keep or return?

Carmichaels - 34 x 7.5 x 4.1 inches

Windhams - 34 x 7.5 x 3.5 inches

That decision is up to you. The pro taper "Wndman" bend is very close to the stock bars. Its all about the comfort your looking for. Install the bars and see if the bend works for you. If not, exchange them.

I got the windham's installed and they feel comfortable.

Guessing I won't find out the difference as I'm not going to buy another pair unless someone here can provide a real-world comparison.

Thanks

I must also point out that the original owner had Woodcraft clip-ons that were way too low for my style.

You need to gauge your comfort level. If you can ride all day feeling comfortable with the Windmans then great. If not, then Carmichael's might be a better choice. I hated the stock bars because of how they positioned me on the bike. I switched to Carmichaels and love them. I'm 5'9" 180lbs for your reference.
