Sorry guys , but i have searched everywhere on this forum .Does anyone know which pro taper bars, countour or evo is closest to OEM height/sweep/rise..
I cannot find the info anywhere.

All i find is carmichael and that is lower and more forward. I think for me the stock height is perfect. and i want to change the colour of the bar but not affect the position too much.

thankyou

i think that the XSR bars are black and the same bend as stock. Rizomas highest bars will be very close.

OK, but you can compare the info Rizoma provides about the bar dimensions that you can use to find bars that are very similar.

Paint the stock bars
i thought about it, too much trouble, the durability of anodizing aluminium is by far the best so ill go for a known brand..

I will do it and will compare to my stock bars tomorrow. i think Rizoma will be the choice , thankyou.

This shows a selection of stock bar dimensions. I used it to choose my Renthals, and it worked out perfect.

I have pro taper contour cr-highs on my bike, they should be a tad higher than stock with similar sweep, but are definitely a bit wider. I don't remember exact numbers anymore but you can look at all of pro-tapers bar dimensions on their site and compare to the stock specs.

I did a few measurements, the OEM bars have a 40mm rise, and 50mm sweep. 720mm wide.
The measurements are a rough idea, so the closest in
Protaper are
Carmichael, Blue, Width 800mm, Height 77mm, Rise 40mm, Clamp Area 195mm, Sweep 55mm, Control Area 180mm
these are actually closest to OEM. Ill be getting the Carmichaels after all.

Thanks for measuring.
I've sat on a fellow member's bike here with these bars, and I didn't notice a huge change in posture.
Let us know how you like them.

Its unfortunate Rizoma website does not add the SWEEP of their bars.( they use and angle ) I would have to use Pythagoras theorem to figure out the sweep using their drawings...

This is the MA011 bend, which is quite aggressive. Just for comparison if it helps. Not sure if it does, but why not.

yes you are correct the sweep is aggressive. 80mm..
I posted a photo in another thread with Rizoma low bars (MA006B) with the stock bars and the sweep is almost the same.

Ah, you got a different bend than I did.
I was wondering why my bars weren't touching the tank but yours did. Looks like yours should be about 5mm shorter. (not much, but is a difference.)

I'm on my second set now.
The ProTaper Woods low bend I was using has more sweep than the Carmichael bend and still less sweep than stock.

I just rode with my new Rizoma bars. I am a happy man with exception of losing abil to tarn the bars to the stock steering stops. I just have to get used to it.

I plan on bringing my FZ to the ECR, you'll have to try my MA011 bend to compare. I'm curious if I/you can tell the difference. They seem so similar. It might be the better compromise in height vs. touching the tank or not.
