Ok so it seems the MT-09/FZ-09 is a little bit bouncy and skitish in standard form and as most of us either aren't ready to or don't intend to upgrade the suspension so need to get the most out of the standard kit. So it would be handy to have some settings that give good results in one place so go ahead and post your settings along with your weight.

Preload front and rear, full.

Rear damping, in full.

Front damping out 1/2 turn.
Thanks, how heavy are you? (We won't judge lol)

Use your preload settings to get the proper amount of rider sag, if you can. Then, make any adjustments that are necessary to the rebound on the front and rear. Rider sag is somewhat a personal preference but a general rule of thumb is that when the rider is on the bike with whatever gear that he/she is going to wear and any and all weighted items (saddle bags, tail bag, tank bag, etc) you should be compressing your suspension approx 1/3 of the available suspension travel. In my case, I am right around 35mm on the front and right at 30mm on the rear.
