So the Canadian Yamaha site calls it "Reddish Yellow" and there's still no mention on the US Yamaha site... post your pics of the yellow beauty here!

Cadmium, in the oil paint world, implies a really strong pigment... probably using Cadmium to augment the color... there's Cad Yellow; Cad Red and others. Go to an art supply store and look at the paints... the Cad based paints are really strong, vibrant colors.

Very expensive usually so it's probably "in the name only". Hard to imagine Yamaha using a real Cad Yellow Paint.

I'm still searching for the Cad Y-CCT. :)

I have posted these elsewhere on the site when I first got her but figured I would toss them in here as well. Wanted to grab some better quality shots not using my cell phone but was too busy riding and working and unfortunately now the ground is covered with snow.

And her all loaded up and ready for the ride home from the dealership :D

Have some OES frame sliders, an integrated turn signal/tail light, and the yoshi tail tidy coming, also have plans for some new front signal lights as well as a new pipe for her this winter. So by the time spring rolls around she is going to look a little different. I was bummed when I realized that they hadn't brought the orange color to the 2015's but once I was in the dealership and saw the yellow in person I definitely don't regret it.

Finally saw one up close at the dealer last week. While I love my LG, the yellow just "glows" with coolness. If I could tell Yamaha something, it would be to add completely new colors in just 6 months. Keep 'em coming, I say. How about a purple tank, like Europe. Anyway, Go Yellow!
My daughter finally got to sit on one yesterday at the show in Seattle. She was a little excited....

Does the cadmium yellow have the same deep pearl/glitter as the orange bikes?

Yeah, in the sun the pearl is evident, maybe not as much as the orange. I've had a yellow Zuma for 12 years, so when the salesman told me they were offering a yellow FZ for '15, my mind was instantly made up :)

Thanks mate, the yellow isn't being imported to Australia so I am toying with the idea of respraying one.
I might try and find a fz6r just to see what the colour looks like.

Looks better than the Rapid Red IMO, but I'm sure it's Not faster.:D
