Nice to join the FZ/MT gang!
I came to my '22 MT09SP via Duke 890R > Duke 790 > CB500F > Sym Symphony 150 + also have a '21 Versys 300X

I'm only 250kms into my journey but I've added the following based bits that have worked well on other bikes:
After market fly screen - easy to fit and good value compared to the OEM version,
Aftermarket rear rack - a little patience required when fitting but this 'no name' copy of the SW Motech original is well made and for me at least provided much needed extra tailbag/luggage space as well as really handy grad rails when I'm using the paddock stand.
SW Motech crash bars - not everyone's thing but I like the protection and sturdy look. Easy to fit.
Aftermarket case cover set - marked as unbranded but came with all the GB Racing logo's and packaging so 'bargain' at less than half the price of the regualr channels. I added these as the crash bars don't extend low enough to protect certain areas esp the clutch cover.
Evotech rear bobbins, frame sliders rad guard & TomTom Sat nav mount - good quality stuff and easy to fit.
Eazi grip pro tank grips - have used before, relatively easy to install if you follow all the directions and mark it up with low tack tape as a guide. TIP: I should have installed then a little higher and a little further forward (I'm 6'2")

WATCH OUT, this site is addictive!!! Why the SP version over the MT with upgraded shocks? Would like to hear your comparison over the 890 Duke. Oh, and photo's, we love to see photos of your favorite places to ride and past bikes.

@Camp49 Good Question. The price difference between the standard model (already a great bike) and the SP for me was only just over US$1,100 (I managed to save nearly US$600 off the sticker price on the SP as it was sold but the previous buyer couldn't complete the deal) so the upgraded suspension, cruise control and some extra finishes represented great value.
As for previous bikes I really liked the Duke 790 and also the 890r (which was even better) but lost of niggling electronics issues with the 790 and to a lesser extent the 890 sapped my ownership desire. I'd considered the older MT when I bought the Duke but it didn't connect with it in the same way. This new model though is way more enjoyable.

almost the same mods as me. sw-motech rack / flyscreen / tank pads / nelson rigg tail bag / ... and you're in AUS! ;-) .. question - i havent received the tail bag yet but i got it exactly for the reason i see in your pic - the rear loops go through the rack and not the seat thus giving the bag a little extra rear bias and more room for the 6 footers amoungst us - hopw did you loop it round the rack????

I fixed the one set of clips under the seat using the existing screws for the OEM seat loop. The rear ones are looped and tied around the rear of the rack.
