I have to agree, I'm not a fan of chrome anything. That red is a brilliant color for such a project.

looks great!! I agree would have done bst's over the chrome wheels would look better and offer a huge performance advantage but that's why we all get to build our own bikes

 

The chrome wheels is because he has mounted red LED's so at night he can show of to meets

VERY nice job. I think a small slightly angled 3-4" screen like on the R1 would complete the look.

 

I always heard there was a space between the seat and tank whenever a swap like this was done. Nevertheless looks good.

how do you get that belly pan?? and what is it? what do i need to do to install a full r1 belly pan like that even if its not that specific one?

One of my buddies got a Yamaha MT10 last year. His first order of business when he got it, was to disassembly it completly, paint it red and black, put on his chrome wheels and tune it. He then got this idea of a other rear set project for winter 2019-2020 and here it is.. Now that is a sexy rear end. She's hot. If only this option was available at purchase, yamaha wouldn't be able to keep up with demand. There fools. releasing bikes that look ugly and unfinished. Yes they take a while to get used to it and people come around to the device looks but releasing it like this is a easy pill to swallow.

OLD post but I also hate the chrome....chrome anything is cheezy, Polished SS? ok for its function....polished aluminum? okay but NEVER EVER chrome anything!.....ewww....yuuuuck
