Hello!

I've been luring Internet forums and reading reviews about the FZ-09 for a few months now. I've been riding it for two weeks.

So far I like it a lot! I was surprised by how lightweight and narrow it is. (Previous/first bike was a 93 GSXR.) It also has a ton of wind resistance at 60+ mph, especially because I'm tall. I've read all about clubman bars, but it sounds too expensive/involved for now. Plus, it's sort of fun.

If you listen closely when the electrical system starts up, you can hear this whirring sound inside the bike. I think it's the sound of throttle body servos going through a full range of motion. In any case it's rad. Also, fuel gauge!

Congrats on getting an 09 and welcome to the forum.

This modern tech is new to me too, I think that noise is the fuel pump coming up to pressure.
