I laid the bike down unfortunately. I got lucky and only broke the head light, the ignition, and my left hand. The ignition assembly is cracked in half and is stuck in the on position. My question is how can I get the ignition off to replace it?

I would suspect it uses a tamper-proof torx bit(those are the type with a pin in the center). If you can't find them at Harbor Freight, then a tool truck or the web would be the next option.

If I'm lucky and it's those security torx, I already have a set like those.

Gen1/2 uses tamper resistant bolts (not security torx), they have a hex head section when new, but when torqued down during installation, the hex part snaps off leaving a flat domed head.
So you'll need to drill them out, or grind a slot in the heads to remove them with a flat blade screwdriver.

Oo fun. That's what I suspected.

Well, that sucks. I suppose it will definitely deter theft, but that design is pretty stupid.
