How do you get the trim off the headlight? I'm in the process of doing a H.I.D conversion and need to get this off so I can split the housing. I don't want to break anything but this is NOT budging! Anyone else do this to theirs?

Never mind I figured it out. Took a chance and baked the entire assembly and it came right apart! Very easy to do.

Yes. Put it in the oven to get the Butyl sealant to soften up so I could pry the housing apart. It's the only way to install a projector into the headlight housing.

Microwave? or range? can you give us the recipe? Pre-heat? cookie sheet? etc...

Microwave? WTF? HAHA. I preheated the oven to 210, put the housing in for 15 minutes right on the rack, used gloves to take it out, used a Delrin tool to pry the housing open like an Oyster. Very simple to do.
