I can't stand stock levers - ugly and huge. I did some research and actually found the levers are from different bikes specifically:

brake lever - 5VS-83922-00-00
clutch lever - 5EB-83912-03-00

It also means that the Brake is compatible with: Fits '06~'12 FJR1300, 06~'13 FZ1, '11~'12 FZ8, '04~'09 FZ6, '09~'13 FZ6R, '14 FZ-09

The Clutch is compatible with: Fits '04~'13 R1, '05~'13 R6, '09~'13 VMAX, '14 FZ-09

I went on Ebay and bought replacement levers from each of those bikes type and they look like this:

Shorty levers...

Now if we could just get some new seats and an exhaust :).

Nice! Thank you. I was hoping to remove the stock levers and stick them my FZ9 box (along with that silly-ass tail) when I installed my handguards, but I wasn't sure how to replace them with something that fit

Thanks again!

Thanks Proberts,I ordered the levers you recommended and am pleased with the CNC quality for $32.
Only thing I had to do was punch out the clutch pivot bearing and insert the Yamaha one. Excellent!

CRG and ASV are both high quality levers.

FWIW, as I understand it CRG are the originators of the CNC-machined billet aluminum lever with span-adjustment feature. ASV, Pazzo and others are just variations on CRG's original design, so I would be inclined to support the company that had the initiative and creativity to first introduce this type of product.

They have a lot more color options too.

ASV come with a 3 or 5 year warranty depending on model and covers them even if you crash in them. Plus I haven't see a ASV knock off yet on eBay.

C5 on my R1

C5 for mt SV 650

You convinced me ;P

Do you know the functional difference between the C5 and the F3? I see the warranty is 5 versus 3, but the F3 has some extra color options.
