It's been great. But, it is time to move on. I am replacing my beloved FZ-09 with an adventure bike. I love motocamping and this would give me opportunities to take the trails as well as the roads.

The bike cost $7900 new. I've put $3000 of mods into it. It's got 1700 miles and a clear title. $8500 firm. About the price of a delivered new one. Except all the bikes weaknesses have been fixed. I am in southeastern Wisconsin. You've got to figure out how you want to get it home.

The Mods are:

Michelin Pilot Power 3's
Full Trackside Suspension and Engineering rework of my suspension
- Penske 8983 Shock with remote
- GP Suspension revalve piston kit
- GP Suspension 90 KG fork springs
Spiegler SS Brake Lines
LED Headlight Conversion
Ermax 25 CM flyscreen
Protaper EVO Bar
Gold Mad Hornets Shorty Levers
Gold Bar Ends
Rizoma grips
Progrip Tank Pad
Techspec tank gripper
Seat Concepts Seat
Yamaha Mesh Vent Covers
T-Rex Racing Engine Guards, Sliders, Axle Sliders
EVO Tech Radiator Guard
EVO Tech Tail Tidy/Tail Light
Smart Brake Light Modulator - Vizi-tec SupaBrake2
ECU Reflash - Stoltec Moto
Pipe? meh. To much $ for a noise maker.

PM me if you are interested. I'm letting my friends here have the first shot at it.

I was considering waiting until Yamamama decided to make a 800 triple Tenere. But Then I thought it would probably have that damned throttle by wire like the FZ. Me no like throttle by wire anymore.

Thank you very much for the pictures. The bike does look beautiful!

Sorry but after much debate think I'm gonna wait for the stock 2015 to see what Yamaha fixes themselves. If not happy with it any yours is still available will let you know.

P.S. Nice FJR in the background (considered getting one of these as well)

Thanks,
James

Did I mention the bike has a 4 year YES warranty?

Whatever fixes Yamaha does, they can't be as nice as mine. ;)

Hot news flash, Yamaha is not going to change a single thing in 2015, with the exception of BNG (bold new graphics). Write it down, I assure you. All manufacturers do this on bikes of this nature.

Yamaha has not changed this bike since 1981:
