Stock rear toast at 3800 miles of 90% commuting, 10% spirited riding, no purposeful burnouts, did spin it a few times being heavy handed on corner exit. WP_20150428_002.jpg

The edges of that tire still look new.

Unless I move, I'm sure my tires will look the same. There isn't a corner here that doesn't have a stoplight or stop sign at it. Even those corners get sanded at random.

Pilot road 4 GT. Try one of those. One of the guys at my shop runs them on his FZ8 with good luck and miles. Pretty good reviews from our customers also.

Poor tire choice for commuting, those are soft tires for active riding, getting 3,800 miles on it was probably pretty good.
I get about 1,500 to 2,000 miles out of mine but they are punished.

Agree, 3,800 miles is probably above average life for the stock Dunlop rear tire.

Replaced my stocker at 1800 miles with a Q3. Much better, but took some getting used to as the Q3 falls into corners a lot quicker. Love the extra grip, but not sure if the profile of the Q3 is right for the FZ09.
