The guy on the cruiser had already been pulled out of a ditch an hour or so before. Seems he was a noob and purchased his shiny new Triumph about two weeks prior to his Deals Gap encounter with the Corvette (he was uninjured). The really sad part is that several hours later one of the local guys came zipping through the crash area unaware there was fork oil and coolant all over the road. Lucky for Jeff some other guys were checking out the cruiser crash site and saw his GXSR go sailing off the mountain.
Our boy Jeff almost died that day.

OUCH, the rider scrapes his pegs, gets target fixation, then slams into a vette. As much as I love killjoy photos, can't help to think this rider would not have wrecked if he had his eyes up the road and not on the camera. I know that curve and he could not have been going that fast as I see his brake lights then looks like he does a complete flip.

Riding through a clean up crash site is always dangerous, glass, sand and all that crap on the road. Sorry to hear about your friend.
