So, yet another 'I can't decide which exhaust to buy' thread....
OK, the exhaust I really want is the Akra Ti. Bar none. Hands down. I love the look, the sound, and the fit and finish. I especially like that it tucks up under the bike nice and neat and gives the bike a clean profile from the rear. But, as the kids would say, 'dat price tag doe'. A grand for an exhaust on a bike that only cost $8K to begin with? Oof. As it is, I'm still drinking the kool-aid to convince myself that the $700 options are the right way to go.
So, off I go to find another exhaust that fits up under the bike nice and tight like the Akra. I've searched and searched, and the only one I can come up with is the Leo Vince. Now, I know the aesthetics of the 'box' look are going to be a bit divisive, but I really do dig how nice and tight the system tucks up under the bike. The header is even tighter to the bike than the Akra (not that I'm a big hater on the header gap on the Akra, but it is just about the one flaw in the system you can find). I also dig how (seemingly) easy it seems to be to pull the dB killer on the LV, whereas I've read complaints from more than one person about how much a PITA pulling the dB killer is on the Akra, at least the carbon.
It doesn't look like the LV is super popular anywhere. The most I can find are a few pics, a few Youtube videos, and some VERY minimal specs on the performance of the system. So, while I trust that LV is a reputable enough company to trust that their exhausts actually perform, I can't find any dyno sheets to back it up.
Price on the LV is good, though. eBay is as low as $708 shipped from the UK, and Omnia Racing might be a bit less than that. https://www.omniaracing.net/en/leov...et/en/leovince-underbody-steel-full-exhaust-system-for-yamaha-2013-p-19135.html
So, does anyone else have some love for the LV and want to help convince me to pull the trigger?
Mike
