Hi

I have this exhaust fitted to my XSR900. Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the baffle? I have seen a thread with a step by step guide for the XSR700 version where the end can can be detached from the exhaust pipe in order to knock the baffle out as shown in the second picture. However, I am not sure if the end can on the XSR900 version can be detached in the same way.

Thanks for any help.

In the upper picture, do you see the black plug just below the upper right circle? If you remove that, I believe there's a screw to remove the baffle without hammering on it. I know the lower pic is for the -7 but the -9 should have the same, probably on the back side where it wouldn't be easily seen.

Just curious if you ever found a way to get the baffle out? I drilled out the weld spot behind the plug and I've pulled and pulled with no luck at all

When your only tool is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

Good luck!
And if you can't fix it with a hammer, it must be an electrical problem.
