Well, her's is the Street Triple 675, and I absolutely LOVE the looks of the Triumph. If I could trade my FZ for a 2012+ Speed Triple 1050.....I would.

I’m moving to the DC area next month and am looking for recommendations on places to ride...obviously not in the district. How far west do I have to go before hitting twisties?

If you head west (50 miles west) into and past warrenton and stay on Route 211 into Sperryville (another 30 miles) you will go through the Appalachian passes shortly after. I cant remember the names but you will see them from afar. In any case you can pull up google and see the mountain ranges/passes. The first one you see on google has an awesome looking route ontop of the mountain range (never rode on it, but really want too). Its called Skyline drive, looks sweet.

Im from WV and have traveled into DC. The eastern panhandle is a great place to get lost for all day riding. Its about 75 miles from DC if you take I-66, off at Gainesville, onto route 15 into Warrenton, then onto 211 into Sperryville.

If you venture further and into the Eastern part of WV,, it is top notch stuff man. But beware, when you get into the sticks (past Interstate 81) , cell phones arent operational all the time.

Breathtaking out there.....You have to go and see it to believe it.

Let's see if we can revive this thread. Still in the Danville area, and looking for more people to ride with.
