    Stupid Question - Preload Adjusters

I think I have these figured out but I'm not 100% sure what they do???? I see the set screw in the photo so I'm assuming that you attach them to your preload adjuster bolts on top of the forks and it gives you the ability to adjust the preload by hand without additional tools??? Does anyone here have them installed and do they work as advertised?

I think they are sorta goofy. Most people set preload once, and leave it. Making this adjuster just bling.

I have them, although not like the picture of yours. And yes if you ride much or various roads of different surfaces they do help with adjustment of preload.

In general, you set the preload once.

The only time you change it is if you are riding with a passenger or a load.

Road conditions or pace do NOT determine preload or require preload adjustment on a properly set up suspension.

Thus, these adjusters are mostly bling and not utility.

^^^ correct. It adjusts sag. Which once sag is set, it's set. These adjusters are just gimmicks.

I've got a set on my MT. They did make setting sag easier. And I like the way they look.
