any one knows which scanner works on 2016 XSR900? I tried get one on ebay, the seller stated that most of the scanners work on Euro 4 emission only, he thought 2016 XSR900 was Euro 3 and 2017 and after are using Euro 4, can some one clarify this? thanks........

OBDII protocol, and need an OBDII scanner capable of reading CAN.

My CEL came on over the weekend as I started it up ready to go for a ride. Went to the dealership today and he cleared it and said it was the wheel speed sensor fault. Absolutely no reason for this but it just happened. It's possible that some metal debris can get in there and just set it off apparently, so it's just one of those things.

How Yamaha keep getting my money is the fact it wasn't a real fault with the bike and he cleared it without charge. Which is more than can be said for some other brands/dealers I could mention.

Mine came on last month whilst I was touring Ireland. Had to take it to a Yamaha Service Agent in Cork who cleared the code, cost me 50 Euros (2017 bike, out of warranty). It was raining very heavily when it came on and I was stuck in traffic, he put it down to dirt on the wheel speed sensor. Done in excess of 2000 miles since and all good.
