Rode the Mesa Verde National Park, 122 miles of serious twisty riding that makes the Tail of the Dragon seem like a stroll in the park.
Although, I did not hike down to the cliff dwellings, I can see some of them from the road. Mesa Verde, is Spanish for green table. The park offers a spectacular look into the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo people who made it their home for over 700 years, from A.D. 600 to 1300. Today the park protects nearly 5,000 known archaeological sites, including 600 cliff dwellings. These sites are some of the most notable and best preserved in the United States!

some backroads fun today - took it easy after almost hitting a turkey as an appetizer, a baby dear for the main course and a bear with 2 cubs as desert - crazy wildlife day on the roads!
