There is a thread here, called "Lowering the XSR900", that has some info.

    Lowering the XSR900

If it is a leg length issue with touching the ground, I'd suggest checking into getting the seat lowered, that way you are not loosing any ground clearance.

And best way to find stuff on here, is to do a Google search like "fz09.org lower xsr900". I find doing a Google search works better than using the in forum search option.

    Dayvee,
I believe Your model can be lowered the same as my FZ-09 model. I posted several times about lowering my bike. Search on my user name to find them. Good luck.

Since you are in England, you may see a bike like I recently purchased which was on the grey market and not imported here in the USA and not really officially imported there until the NC30 came around. A Honda 1987 VFR400R NC24. I have yet to find anyone who has seen one outside a picture other than mine.

I have been using the Lust racing for about 3 months now and I am really liking it. How tall are you? I am 5'7" and I can flat foot on the bike. If you like a bit taller bike I would go with the Yamaha OEM lowering kit, I believe those links do not lower the bike as much as the Lust do.
