    XSR900 Aftermarket Exhaust Ideas

Disclaimer: I do not know which one's will actually fit the XSR900, however I wanted to see what some of the popular FZ09 options look like. I did a few rough 'shops to get an idea and figured someone else might appreciate seeing these.

I like the Akra Titanium and the IXIL L3X, they look better with the aluminum tank.

Yup ... The Akra Ti would look really nice on the aluminum XSR

I agree, however I like the how the black IXIL looks too. It's close to the stock scheme which IMHO doesn't look bad at all. Just too quiet.

Advantages to the IXIL exhaust would likely be: sound/weight/price (forum members get a discount). Disadvantage would be that some reports show it to be a lesser performer than the stock exhaust.

take out the DB killer and the ixil sounds sweet!

as far as the performance hit, It's (to me) unnoticable,(but does show on a dyno, but only a few hp or ft lbs)and my bike is still faster then anything else on the road up to 80-90. I have NEVER been beaten in two years up to 90. (I usually back off at 90, dunno if that's where it runs out or what. My personal top speed is 134, and that was uncomfortable) I do have the Vcyclenut flash.

I saw a 1/2 hp increase but considering the slight drop in weight it was worth it!
