The cat restricts airflow and reduces emissions that are put into the atmosphere by a full open exhaust. That is their purpose among a few other things. So it will run different that an open exhaust for those reasons. But will it defeat the purpose of an aftermarket exhaust, I dont think so. If you want to be environmentally friendly - do it.

I agree with blkbrd. do what makes you happy.

Has anyone tried a Black Widow exhaust. I've seen a few reviews but they are limited. They appear to be well built and they look nice. Any thoughts?

Thought I'd post a few pics of my Anniv with a modified IXIL Hyperlow before I take it off!

It came off my old Tracer - I drilled out the Cat, and also removed the chrome tips and reversed them as the pipe had been down the road on the Tracer and got scratched, also I prefer with the db killer bolts hidden. The assembly is riveted so you need to reassemble with blind rivets.

Looks good I think, but too loud for me to listen to radio through my Sena. Also I definitely think it hurts midrange, but it does sound awesome.

Hindle have the new pics up, I'm digging the look of the new exhaust. I think it would look sweet ceramic coated black.

That Arrow looks great. Do you have a sound clip or link to video?

Really like how those headers are tucked in nice and close.
