Hell, my son's 2001 FZ1 is faster than the 09 but who cares...the 09 "feels" really fast (and it is) because of all that wonderful torque and it spoils you on the street.

To refine the vcyclenut flash on engine brake. Dave reduces engine brake to about 75 to 80% of what it is now. It is not taken away, just reduced 20 to 25%. It makes the throttle more responsive (linear) coming out of a curve and not a full on "what the @#$%" exiting a curve.

And I will add to that by saying, I run mine in B mode in the tight and twisty stuff for the first few miles of a mountain ride before switching to standard mode. Hell...I may take up flyfishing full time, which is in itself more than a bit sad.
hey now. there is absolutely nothing wrong with a good day of fly fishing.

You're absolutely right. The sad bit, is that I'm in a motorbike funk. Tired, no concentration and the heat is starting to get to me.
We had a very mild winter which made riding the mountain roads a joy and ending the day trout fishing until dark was the cherry on top.
But enough about that, I didn't intend to hijack the OP's thread.

yea I've seen some videos floating around on youtube of a 900 + horsepower hayabusa, (claimed) cant imagine that.

Kawasaki came out with the Kawasaki Ninja H2R, last year, and that is one expensive motor. not to mention $55 K.

not any places around here I could reach 250 MPH.....

I know what you mean. I'm the same, I have to almost force myself to go for a ride at times. I think I'm bored with the limited riding routes around here. And the destroyed roads.

No worries about that. I lived where you are for half my life. Fishing is a way of life in N. Georgia. I'd hardly be angry.

It seems the general consensus is a third party flash, not a Yamaha update to 2017. Am I correct to assume that?

    Correct.
Most people go with either VcycleNut's or Ivan's flashes.
