That's a strange collection of damage. I doubt that it was "wrecked", but it looks to me like it was either ridden over a curb, or dropped somehow. Or possibly, the damage could have occurred when they uncrated it. The bikes are shipped with the front wheel off, and the forks are supported on blocks. If the tech(s) who unloaded it were very sloppy, they could have done all of that damage by dragging out of the crate like gorillas.

On top of not mentioning that the bike was demo'd, this dealership has shown quite a bit of disregard for you as a customer...

The longer you wait to bring it back to the dealership, the more you are "accepting" the damage. Do something soon.

so there goes your break in....you know that bike was bouncing off the rev limiter on those "test rides" .
I would take it back and ask for a new bike, not a used bike like they sold you.

I'd want a replacement. When I was at the bike shop all demo bikes were given to staff to put a few hundred k's on before they were sent out on test rides. It's completely unacceptable to allow muppets to ride that bike with 20 k's on the clock.

I hope you know who at the dealership admitted that the bike was test driven by customers. Otherwise they will for sure blame you for the damage. I think you will be hard pressed to obtain a new bike without additional cost. Most likely they will demand a "lease fee" from you based on the mileage you put on the current bike. If your bike runs ok and prior to knowing about the damage you were happy with the FZ, then I think the best course of action is to demand a new damage free exhaust, and new oil pan, and "compensation"...i.e. money. I don't know how good of a deal you got for the bike, but if you got the same deal as most get for a new damaged-free bike, then compensation is in order. Go for a new bike if you want, and perhaps that strategy will get you the most benefit...but I bet they will want a lease fee for the mileage.

It does look like either curb damage...or crate/unpacking damage.

I would have dropped everything, gone down there the minute i saw it. Who knows what happened, you payed for a new bike. That's not what you got. I hope they don't fight you on this and say you caused the damage.

    Quite likely.

    Good luck getting it sorted.
