    So Long Old Friend

So I got her all shinned up and dropped her off Tuesday to be sold.

Her new temporary home is Santa Barbara Motorsports.

Had some great times on the 2014 Rapid Red but now is relegated to memories and pictures.

A couple of shots of her in the new home.

Sorry Tim but I just can't click the "like" button for this one.

Sad, but not. I miss mine too, but happier with the replacement. Did you also sell your Connie?
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Yep sold the Connie about 4 months ago.

Used the funds for most of the KTM.

Guess one could call that "Swapping with style."

    Enjoy the new machine!
Glad you got to harass the Left Coast on the FZ for a time.

Well kids and FZ's are both great but are best experienced when one is young.

Kids because you need plenty of strength and endurance to raise your kids and FZ's because you need a young healthy back to endure all the jolts of rough pavement at 80 mph.

Enjoy yours while you can cuz one day you will wake up and see an old man in the mirror...Lol.

    Cheers.

LOL...I am 52 and cannot remotely conceive getting rid of my FZ09 but I do understand. I went from a Tiger 800 to an FJR1300 to the FZ in two years, lol. Having the WR250R for off road duties really lets me enjoy the FZ. That being said, I am working Saturdays at my local Yammie dealer (great folks) helping sell bikes etc. and they JUST became a KTM dealer and bikes are rolling in. I will be doing some serious demo work on a 350 EXC, 1090 Adventure R and a Super Duke, lololol That is in about 3 months after the polar ice cap melts here in the Chicago area.....

I'm sure you and your piles will love the KTM. I just hope they find a home for the 09 and she doesn't get put down.

The comment about marriage just reminded me, I had the car in for a little job on Friday. The parts guy came out to get the VIN and was looking all wistful.*He said he used to have an 86 but had to sell it when the second kid arrived. I asked him if he cried. He said yes.
I nearly told him that I sold my bikes because of my second wife, then she f**ked off. But I couldn't be that cruel.
