GREAT Deal on Brand New 2015 FZ-09s - More Available

    Hi Gang,

I'm new here so hopefully this is ok to post in this discussion area, if not Mods please move to wherever it should be....

I just joined the Owner's club as I found what appears to be a really great deal on a few new leftover 2015's.

    Here's the deal:

Brand new (Delivery miles) 2015 FZ-09 (All three colors available I believe - I got Matte Grey)
All fees, everything except tax - $5,500
Delivery from ND to GA - $500 (if you live closer or don't need delivery they will sell for the $5,500)
I pay my own tax/title locally

    Where:
    U Motorsports, Inc.
    Fargo, ND
    http://www.umotorsinc.com/
    701-232-5000

My salesman's name is Matt and he is very easy to deal with.

I hope this helps someone here. I had been looking for a used 14 or 15 at prices in this range for a while, so I didn't think I could do better.

    Good luck.

    Jay

UPDATE: This transaction has turned out to not be one that I would recommend.

As you may see from my other thread, my bike arrived DOA so it has largely been on me to get it to a local shop and steward the process of getting it repaired. It also arrived without a tool kit and with a radiator caked with a white powdery substance that doesn't clean very easily. Additionally, there is also a fairly large mark on the frame that the dealer says, upon research, turns out to be something caused by/in the casting process - not a structural issue but certainly cosmetic - looks like a crack/scratch but is not.

After all is said and done, this deal was going to save me $800 (best local offer was $6800), which is a fair amount of money on a $6000 bike, but in my time and frustration I believe I have likely lost money.

I'm sure not all bikes shipped from this dealer will have these issues but mine unfortunately did. So if you want to take the gamble it might turn out to be a very good deal. For me, I love the color and could not find one locally, so long distance was necessary to get the color and try to save some money, but I just got caught in an unfortunate situation - long term I'm sure everything will be great, I'll just have a little more sweat equity in it than I expected.

U Motors is great, went to school at NDSU up there and had the pleasure of working with them on a few things. Positive all around. GO BISON!

    Thanks Behr8...

I was a little skeptical at first as they look like a pretty small dealership. They do show up on Yamaha's website so that gave me some comfort. It's great knowing you've worked with them previously and they are legit and good folks.

They just sent me pics...now if I can only wait the week or two until it gets here...

That is a good deal. Assuming there are no extra set up fees and things.

Yes, that's correct. No other fees at all. I just received/signed the bill of sale. Wish I didn't have to pay for shipping, but you can't have everything. Somebody needs to jump on the couple of others they have. May not be a new '17 or FZ10, but its a lot of bike for the any money, but certainly for $5,500.

I just went to the website from the link given in the first post, and on there the price is $6499. Did the price go up from this morning, or do you have to call them?

Don't worry about that. Just call Matt after 9am Central. Tell him you saw the deal on the FZ09 forum and you want the same deal he gave to Jay from Atlanta. Any issues post it up here if you are so inclined, but they appear to be very straight shooters and Behr8 says his previous experiences with them were excellent.
